Application Process

Step 1: Team Formation

  • Form teams of 2-4 students or apply individually! If applying as a team, the maximum allowed is 4 students in a team.  

  • A team/individual can submit an application for the Innovation Conclave under any of the following grade categories.

    • Grades 3-5

    • Grades 6-8

    • Grades 9-12

  • Teams can have a mix of students from different grade categories and schools.

  • Choose a Concept Area for your team, from the list of Concept Areas applicable to your grade level. Click here for the same.

Step 2: Draft the Proposal

Draft an ‘Innovation Proposal’ of maximum 2 pages which includes the following:

    • Chosen concept area

    • Brief problem statement

    • Target community/audience

    • Proposed solution overview

    • Expected impact and feasibility

    • Resources needed

Step 3: Preliminary Screening of Applications

  • Applications will be reviewed for eligibility and alignment with focus areas

  • Incomplete or off-theme proposals will be filtered out

  • Shortlisting will be done on grounds of merit, as per the rubric given below.

Entries may be disqualified if:

  • They contain plagiarized content

  • They violate rules regarding team size or structure

  • The submission is incomplete or not aligned with the focus areas

  • The submission is not in English

Step 4: Announcement of Shortlisted Teams/Individuals

  • Announce the shortlisted teams/individuals via the Ignición 2025 website

  • Publish the University workshop calendar on the website

  • Send out the Design Thinking Playbook to the shortlisted teams/individuals

All shortlisted teams/individuals will undergo a 3-month mentorship program with leading Universities from India and abroad, leading up to the teams/individuals presenting their final product or service at the event on 8th November!
